La contribución social de la empresa EDIMCA, es dictar cursos de capacitación a sus clientes sobre estilos históricos de diseño. El objetivo general de estas capacitaciones es motivar a los asistentes a crear propuestas propias de diseño mobiliario. El análisis de la evolución de la historia del diseño se propone desde el siglo XVI hasta los estilos actuales, con lo que se pretende explicar sus cambios y aportes así como su principal precursor. Para el desarrollo del curso y para poder trabajar con la creatividad de sus asistentes, se dividirá la capacitación en módulos con temas específicos. La teoría será apoyada por manuales gráficos, estos proporcionarán la descripción de un proceso formal de diseño, según el módulo, su reseña histórica y ejemplos gráficos de mobiliario. Como material de apoyo habrá una breve descripción de herramientas de carpintería, su uso, mantenimiento y precauciones básicas en el momento de su utilización. Por último, el manual tendrá un espacio para el desarrollo de bocetos; En la parte práctica, se reforzará la teoría impartida por medio de manipulación de piezas de madera, en las cuales el asistente deberá desarrollar una propuesta con las características del estilo estudiado, sin copiar el modelo del estilo, para dar una mejor idea sobre éstas, se mostrará un modelo a escala como ejemplo.
EDIMCA has trainings for its clients to teach them about history and its latest design tendencies, the general idea behind the project, is to motivate the users to create a design of their own, using the basic theory and history taught as a support for their work. The study of history used in these trainings, starts with the XVI Century and goes until the present day and actual design tendencies, using the theorical approach, EDIMCA plans to explain the changes that design has suffered throughout history and it’s major precursors; in order to be able to work with the user’s creativity, they will be required to work with wood based on a specific subject which EDIMCA will provide. The users will also be given graphic manuals, which are designed to introduce them to the basic design methods, a short historical description, basic examples on the trainings subject, use, maintenance and basic cautions when using carpentry tools, also, a short description of each tool mentioned on the manual and a place to draw sketches, this will help users to get familiarized with EDIMCA. Users of EDIMCA will be required to work with wood basing their work on the theory of the training, this will encourage them to make a design proposal of their own using the characteristics shown in a certain tendency, to provide a better idea of the tendency is furniture, the users will be shown a prototype as an example of the tendency.
