This business plan is intended to introduce a line of gourmet teas, tisanes and infusions as well as a Tea house opening in the city of Quito. This project is based on a hypothesis previously formulated and clearly defined objectives for the study. Throughout Chapter II, an analysis at macro and micro environment of the sector and industry was developed. The belonging sector is Food and Beverages which represents the 55.94% of the input in Manufacture industry. The industry’s performance clearly shows a permanent growth reaching a 6% within the national GDP from 2000 to 2007. El presente plan de negocios se orienta a la introducción de una línea de té, tisanas e infusiones gourmet y la implantación de una Casa de Té en la ciudad de Quito. La propuesta, es sustentada en base a una hipótesis planteada previamente y a objetivos claramente definidos para el estudio. En Capítulo II se realiza un análisis al entorno macroeconómico y microeconómico del sector y la industria dentro de la cual se desarrollará el proyecto. El sector es el de la elaboración de alimentos y bebidas el cual tiene un 55.94 por ciento dentro de las manufacturas. Dentro de la industria, se puede observar que ha crecido en un 6 por ciento dentro del PIB nacional desde el año 2000 hasta el 2007.
