In the Veterinary Clinic of the State University of Bolivar, 50 canines with different diagnoses were treated in which 12 patients had skin problems such as papules, scabs, scars from which swabs were taken from the lesions that each of the patients presented and culture was performed and antibiogram, in order to identify the species of Staphylococcus spp. positive coagulase, involved in this pathology and determine its antimicrobial susceptibility to drugs commonly used in daily clinical practice such as cephalexin, cefovecin, sulfatrimethoprim, amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, the isolated species with the greatest development was Staphylococcus intermedius followed by Staphylococcus lentus. The samples collected During the research process, they showed that there is resistance and sensitivity with a result of 37.50% sensitive and 8.30% resistant to the aforementioned antibiotics.
En la Clínica Veterinaria de la Universidad Estatal de Bolivar fueron atendidos 50 caninos con diferentes diagnósticos, en los cuales 12 pacientes tuvieron problemas de piel como papulas, costras, cicatrices, de los cuales se tomaron hisopados de las lesiones que presentaron cada uno de los pacientes y se realizó cultivo y antibiograma, con el objetivo de identificar las especies de Staphylococcus spp. coagulasa positivas, involucradas en esta patología y determinar su susceptibilidad antimicrobiana a fármacos de uso común en la clínica diaria como cefalexina , cefovecina, sulfatrimetoprim, amoxicilina + ácido clavulanico, la especie aislada con mayor desarrollo fue; Staphylococcus intermedius seguido de Staphylococcus lentus. Las muestras recolectadas durante el proceso de la investigación mostraron que hay resistencia y sensibilidad con un resultado de 37,50% sensibles y 8,30%, resistentes a los antibióticos antes mencionados.
