Description

This document contains details of the process of analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of the Automated System for administration of the University Welfare Department (DBMS). Instruments such as interviews and surveys were used to obtain regarding information management information is performed in the University Welfare Department, and thus design a tool that is useful for officials. The rapid development was used Applications (RAD) as Software Development Process with a Object-oriented approach as a paradigm. The system used free software tools for building system Operating GNU / Linux CentOS 5.8 distribution, Apache Web Server 2.2, Database manager PostgreSQL 8.4, Programming languages: PHP, Java, JavaScript, among others. It is noteworthy that the DBMS system improves the management of information users regarding University Welfare Department, mainly it reduces response times in search and registration information, reduces the percentage of lost and redundant information.
El presente documento contiene detalles del proceso de análisis, diseño, desarrollo, pruebas e implementación del Sistema Automatizado para la gestión administrativa del Departamento de Bienestar Universitario (SGDB). Se utilizaron instrumentos como entrevistas y encuestas para obtener información referente a la gestión de información que se realiza en el Departamento de Bienestar Universitario, y de esta forma diseñar una herramienta que sea útil para los funcionarios. Se utilizó el Desarrollo Rápido de Aplicaciones (RAD) como Proceso de Desarrollo de Software, con un enfoque Orientado a Objetos como paradigma. El sistema utilizó herramientas software libre para su construcción, Sistema Operativo GNU/Linux distribución CentOS 5.8, Servidor Web Apache 2.2, Gestor de Base de Datos PostgreSQL 8.4, Lenguajes de programación: PHP, Java, JavaScript, entre otros. Cabe mencionar que el Sistema SGDB mejora la gestión de información referente a los usuarios del Departamento de Bienestar Universitario, principalmente reduce los tiempos de respuesta en búsqueda y registro de información, reduce el porcentaje de información perdida y redundante.
