Description: This work will try to find the relation between the artistic conditions of the abject and Francis Bacon's discourse in his interviews in the 1960s and the 1980s. In order to do this, I will carry out a historical research of the trajectory of the abject in the paintings realized by Bacon, thus establishing the necessary elements to understand his esthetic opinion regarding the abject art and the influence it had in his career as the greatest English painter of the second half of the twentieth century...
La presente investigación, trata de encontrar la relación existente entre las condiciones artísticas propias de lo “abyecto” y el discurso que presenta Francis Bacon alrededor de sus entrevistas en las décadas de los 60s y 80s. Para ello se realiza una exploración histórica de lo “abyecto” en la pintura y la trayectoria que en ésta, realiza Bacon, estableciendo así los elementos necesarios para entender su posición estética con respecto al arte abyecto y la influencia que ésta tiene en su construcción como el pintor inglés más destacado de la segunda mitad del siglo XX...
